Summary:  The primary objective of the cashier is to provide assistance and excellent guest service while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

 

Essential Duties:  Provide courteous, accurate and efficient services to customers.

Perform cashier functions including cash and credit card sales.  Stock store products and maintain cleanliness of store. Duties include brewing coffee, cleaning fountain area, wiping down gas pumps, restocking cooler doors and freezers, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and showers, emptying trash containers inside and out, etc.

 

 

Education:  High School Graduate or equivalent

 

Experience:  1 Year customerservice experience preferred, math skills, and good communication skills.

 

Special Skills:  Cash handling, cash register

 

Licenses, Certifications:  None

 

 

Job Demands:

 

Physical: Ability to maneuver in all areas of store and diner. Routinely lift 5-25 pounds, and occasionally lift 26-50 pounds.  Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and associated tools.

 

Mental: Mental capacity to tolerate stress, communicate with coworkers and guests alike, convey detail information in clear, concise manner.

 

Environmental:  Work in store and diner operations containing second hand smoke and moderate noise level.
