Description of Assignment

Wyandotte Nation Government is currently accepting applications for Temporary Health Information Management Technician. This position interviews patients to obtain pertinent medical history, demographic and insurance information and authorization for health care services.  Collects, copies and files third party recipient health cards and tribal membership cards.  Makes appointments for and explains charges for services to patients. Must have excellent data entry and retrieval skills. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three month’s related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Majority of time will be on-the-job standing, walking or sitting and firm grasping and lift up to 10 pounds. Also, must pass background checks, physical, drug testing, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
