Wyandotte Nation Casino Opens

The Wyandotte Nation Casino held an opening night for Citizens of the Wyandotte Nation, Employees of the Nation and special guests on Monday, April 16, 2007. Second Chief Billy Friend and Chief Leaford Bearskin greeted the invited guest during an opening ceremony followed by a smoking ceremony of the building performed by Chief Bearskin. The casino officially opened to the public on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 5:00 pm.

The casino is a premier, state of the art casino with a Las Vegas feel. The 20,000 square-foot gaming-floor offers over 500 interactive LCD-screen slot machines with denominations ranging from 1 cent to $25.

Other areas of the new casino include eight blackjack tables, three card Poker and Texas Hold ‘Em tables, a five-table, non-smoking Poker Room, VIP Player Lounge, Twin Bridges Restaurant and Lounge, Campfire Concessions, a gift shop and Club Wyandotte, a club membership that is free to join.
