Bearskin Services awarded two government contracts

Bearskin Services, a 100-percent tribally-owned and SBA Certified 8(a) company, was awarded a $7 million contract with the U.S. Army in Fort Carson, Colo., and a $5.5 million contract with the U.S. Air Force at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi.

“Our highly qualified IT and telecommunications technicians in the field, bolstered by 20 years of Federal contracting experience, is the basis of our success,” said Katie Thompson, Contracts Manager for Bearskin Services. “Developing a winning proposal takes a dedicated team, technical expertise, and a positive attitude.”

For the Fort Carson facility, Bearskin technicians will provide Tier I, II, and III support, Video Teleconferencing Services, Operation Center Services, Facility Engineer Services, System Administration, and Database Administration Services.

“This contract award clearly demonstrates our ability to meet the demand for comprehensive technology services needed by our Armed Forces,” Thompson said. “The Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma’s ongoing success hinges on our unparalleled leadership in network engineering, support, and database management.”

For the Columbus facility, Bearskin will provide for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the Base Network and Telephone Systems (BNTS), including all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, and supervision to ensure systems are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

“We are proud to furnish comprehensive base network and telephone services to support the mission of the 14th Fighter Training Wing (14 FTW) at Columbus AFB,” Thompson said.
