The National Trails Day event will be held this year on June 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Twin Bridges State Park.
Park activities will include nature trail hiking, biking, walking, jogging, running, educational booths, wildlife educational stations, fire safety, public safety and more.
The event is a chance to enjoy a closed circuit bicycling, walking and jogging course throughout the park. There will also be the chance to hike the nature trail and interact with five educational stops along the way.
Interactive environmental and outdoor educational booths will be provided by the Wyandotte Nation Environmental Department, the Peoria Tribal Environmental Department, the Eastern Shawnee Tribal Environmental Department, Quapaw Fire/Rescue, the Wyandotte Fire Department, the Wyandotte Nation Tribal Police Department and more.
Everyone is welcome to participate and celebrate National Trails Day.
