The Wyandotte Nation Preschool held its 2015 Chief Leaford Bearskin Memorial Pow-Wow Tuesday evening, April 14, in the Wyandotte Public High School Gym (location moved from pow-wow grounds due to weather).
Students took part in the Grand Entry and Introduction of Tribes, sang “Kweh, Kweh, Kweh!” and a numbers song before dancing a Round Dance, Snake & Buffalo Dance, and an Intertribal Dance to highlight the event.
Wyandotte Nation Chief Billy Friend gave the invocation and Wyandotte Nation Princess Emilee Wills signed the Lord’s Prayer while the Colors were presented by the Wyandotte Nation Color Guard.
The Host Drum was the Operation Eagle Singers.
