Wyandotte Nation to use CARES Act funds to help students with distance learning

Using CARES Act funds afforded to the Wyandotte Nation, we are providing a maximum of $700 towards the purchase of, or reimbursement for, a computer, such as a Chromebook, desktop, iPad, laptop, or Tablet. We have determined the expense of ensuring our tribal citizens have access to computers in order to facilitate their distance learning is a necessary cost arising from the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The Tribe will either purchase the required computer or citizens can apply to be reimbursed for purchases made after March 1, 2020.  This program is available to enrolled Wyandotte Nation citizens who are enrolled in a school or educational institution, and proof of enrollment is required (e.g. class schedule, letter from school).

Applications can also be found by calling/emailing the office and must be received in our office by Sept. 30, 2020.  For questions about this program, please call (918) 678-6319.
